Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit our website. We use cookies to provide you with a better experience and to enable certain features of our service.
How we use cookies
We use cookies solely for authentication purposes. When you log in to EventInvites, we set secure authentication cookies that allow us to:
- Keep you signed in during your session
- Verify your identity when accessing protected pages
- Refresh your authentication token automatically
Cookie consent
We require your explicit consent before setting any authentication cookies. You can accept or decline cookies when you first visit our login page. Your choice is stored and remembered for future visits.
If you decline cookies, you will not be able to sign in to EventInvites, as authentication requires the use of cookies.
Cookie storage
We store your cookie consent preference in two ways:
- In your browser's localStorage (for quick access)
- In a cookie (for server-side verification)
This dual storage approach ensures your consent is remembered even if one storage method is cleared, and allows our servers to verify your consent before setting authentication cookies.
Cookie security
All authentication cookies are:
- Marked as httpOnly (not accessible via JavaScript)
- Set with Secure flag in production (HTTPS only)
- Set with SameSite=Strict (CSRF protection)
- Automatically expired after a set period
Managing cookies
You can change your cookie consent preference at any time by visiting the login page and updating your choice. You can also clear cookies and localStorage through your browser settings, which will reset your consent preference.
